Often the concern of nursing mothers is a decrease in the amount of milk. At the same time, women are in a hurry to feed the baby with mixtures, or even completely transfer him to artificial nutrition. However, breastfeeding is therefore called natural, as provided by nature, and there is no better nutrition for the baby. Experts say that in 98% of cases, a decrease in lactation is a temporary and quite normal phenomenon. In addition, this phenomenon is cyclical, and can be repeated every two to three months. Therefore, in a hurry to feed the baby is not worth it. If you make a little effort, the amount of milk will increase again. And help in this, first of all, products that increase lactation.

First of all, to maintain or increase lactation, it is necessary to increase the amount of fluid drunk per day. The body of a nursing mother produces about 900 ml daily. milk, which means that you need to drink about a liter more liquid than usual. It can be drinks, juices, tea, milk and even soups. But overdoing it with liquid is also not worth it, its amount per day should be no more than 2 liters. Otherwise, the volume of milk may indeed increase, but its quality will suffer - the amount of vitamins, proteins and fat will decrease. Instead, experts advise to include in the diet products to increase lactation - milk, green tea, dairy products. For example, before feeding, it is recommended to drink a cup of freshly brewed green tea, always hot, you can add milk to it. Instead of tea, you can drink kefir or yogurt. During the day, they also recommend drinking tea with milk, you can also black. It is advisable to drink 0.5 liters of milk daily.

Products that increase lactation are also nuts, seeds, carrots, fennel, feta cheese, Adyghe cheese, honey, some seasonings, in particular, anise, caraway seeds and ginger. Lactation is stimulated not only by milk drinks, but also by walnut syrup, carrot juice, natural blackcurrant juice. In addition, products that increase lactation are also many medicinal herbs that our great-grandmothers have successfully used. These include nettle, oregano, hawthorn, anise, dill. The benefits of using herbs are obvious, because many of them have not only lactogenic properties, but also have a beneficial effect on the nervous system and help strengthen immunity. By the way, there are many recipes that include both lactogenic herbs and products that increase lactation.

Folk recipes

20 gr. nettle leaves (dry) pour boiling water (1 liter) and insist. Take an infusion of 1 tbsp. spoon three times a day.

Crush anise fruits, oregano and dill grass (25 g each) and mix. Then pour 1 teaspoon of the resulting collection with a glass of boiling water. Infusion is taken three times a day, before meals, 1 tbsp. spoon.

50 gr oatmeal mixed with dried apricots and walnuts (100 g.). The mass is poured with sour-milk drinks or milk.

Buckwheat is fried in a pan and, during the day, eat like seeds.

Freshly squeezed carrot juice is taken half a cup three times a day.

100 ml each. juice of radish and cooled salted boiled water is mixed with honey (1 tablespoon). Drink such a solution three times a day.

Effective for increasing lactation, ginger decoction. A tablespoon of ginger (ground) is taken in 1/2 liter of water and boiled for 5 minutes. Take a decoction three times a day for a third of a glass.

2 tbsp. tablespoons of walnuts (peeled) are poured in a thermos with two glasses of milk (first bring to a boil). Leave the mixture to infuse overnight. In the morning, divide the solution into 4 parts, the entire volume is drunk per day.

100 gr. Grind figs, dried apricots and raisins and mix with ground walnuts (1 cup). Add 100 gr. honey and butter, mix again. Take the mixture before feeding, for 15 minutes, a tablespoon.

Mix 4 cups kefir with a liter of milk, add 10 gr. walnuts, 1 tbsp. a spoonful of chopped dandelion petals and dill leaves. Beat the mixture with a mixer, take half a glass with breakfast.
