This is especially true for bodybuilders - people for whom the most important is the set of muscle mass that is impossible without a large amount of protein coming from food. That is why people involved in this sport in their diet prefer protein-rich foods. So how do you find and choose foods with the highest protein content among all available on store shelves and markets?
Most proteins are found in animal products. In addition, it is animal protein that is the most valuable and well-absorbed human body. That is why a bodybuilder should focus on the consumption of such food. Of course, listing these products, it is first of all worth mentioning about meat. Products with the highest protein content are various types of meat and fish. The percentage of protein in them can reach 30%. The consumption of meat protein is vital for any organism, not just an athlete, because it is from meat that the body receives the amino acids it needs so much. Lean beef, veal and chicken are most preferred due to their low fat content.
A high protein content is also noted in dairy products. The leaders here are cottage cheese and cheese. Their protein content can reach 40%! At the same time, it is worth considering that cheese and cottage cheese contain mainly casein - a “slow” protein that is absorbed by the body only for several hours. However, it also plays a large role in nutrition when dieting on a set of muscle mass. It should be noted that cottage cheese and cheese have a traditionally high level of fat content, and therefore it is worth choosing low-fat or low- fat cheeses
and cottage cheese. Do not forget about milk with kefir, because in liquid form it is much easier to absorb food.
The highest protein foods include chicken eggs. However, consuming large numbers of eggs with yolk can harm the liver. There is enough protein in various cereals, especially buckwheat, but they have even more carbohydrates in them, which is not always good, especially in the case of “drying”.
Nuts and legumes are also products with the highest protein content. Nevertheless, it is worth paying attention that, like most foods rich in protein, they create a considerable burden on the digestive system, since they break down into amino acids - components of any protein - it is difficult and long. Therefore, one should not forget about such a significant help for an athlete as sports nutrition, from which all unnecessary ballast substances are
removed and which is quickly absorbed. After all, using sports nutrition, protein
in the required doses will be much easier to get. After all, not everyone is able to eat a day and digest a dozen eggs and a kilogram of meat. Much easier and tastier to drink a protein shake
with the taste of chocolate or vanilla. If a full meal is not possible, sports nutrition can help out a lot. Nevertheless, it will not be possible to completely replace traditional food with sports nutrition, and a person should receive the bulk of proteins with ordinary food.
